Access features from the iPhone Lock Screen

When you power on or wake up your iPhone, the Lock Screen appears. It displays the time and date as well as any custom widgets you may have installed. It also displays your most recent notifications. Access features and information from the Lock Screen

You can quickly access useful features and information from the Lock Screen, even while iPhone is locked. From the Lock Screen, do any of the following:

• Open Camera: Swipe left. On supported models, you can touch and hold , then lift your finger. (See iPhone camera basics.)

• Open Control Center: Swipe down from the top-right corner (on an iPhone with Face ID) or swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen (on other iPhone models). (See Use and customize Control Center on iPhone.)

Show notification previews on the Lock Screen

1. Select Notifications under Settings.

2. Select Always after selecting Show Previews.

3. Determine how alerts should be shown on the lock screen:

Select Count to view simply the number of notifications.

View the stacks of alerts organized by app: Pick Stack.

Look at the alerts as a list: Choose a list.

On the Lock Screen, you can pinch the alerts to reorder them.
